Notice of Privacy Practices

Bedford Pediatrics acknowledges that we must maintain and provide to patients (or their personal representative, e.g., their parent or guardian) a Notice of Privacy Practices (NPP).  The NPP informs parents/patients about how we may use and disclose a patient’s protected health information (PHI).  It will also describe the patient’s rights and Bedford Pediatrics’ duties with respect to PHI.  At the time of your first visit, you will be given our privacy policy and HIPPA rules (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) to review and sign to understand our shared responsibilities.
